A shadow moved through the darkness of the autumn night. Dusk had long come and gone, it was so late that even the night bugs seemed to be asleep. The air was cool and crisp…and there was something that it carried in it… a scent of some sort.
The shadow slowed from it’s weary trot, and stopped crouching behind a bunch. She breathed deeply.
‘I know this scent…I think… it’s on the tip of my memory.” she thought to herself. The creature was a wolf, and she wasn’t in the best of condition. At one point in time she had, had a strong full frame bulky with muscle from fighting to keep her rank and title. But now, from months of wondering and hardly being able to eat the bulk of her frame has melted away to nothing more then lean muscle. Nevertheless don’t mistake her leanness for weakness. She has become that much more fiercer do to her hardships. Her once beautiful shiny pelt that held lovely shades of browns, and black was now dull with filth. It was patchy is some places as well. Her right paw looked the worst despite the wound being fully healed. At some point in this wolf’s past she had encountered fire…the paw was proof of this.
After a bit of thinking she decided that following the scent would be her best bet… for one it would douse her curiosity and it may lead to food. The thought of food made her belly growl.
She rose from her crouch and started forward at a trot once more. Her head low from weariness, however her tail was held fairly high as if an old habit that had yet to be take out of her persona.
She didn’t have to go far before she came to a fence which she studied for a moment. But that didn’t hold her attention long. Beyond it she spotted what had drew her here… sheep. She had thought she knew the scent. Crawling under the fence she started to stock forward on her belly. Her mouth already watering with expectation of the fresh meat that would await her when she fell one of those sheep. The creatures didn’t seem to notice her as she moved forward slowly. Taking her time… there was no sense in rushing. Rushing only meant she didn’t eat that night.

Sashi trotted toward the familiar fencing, she had been alone so long and she could always relie on this place for a meal. Sure it was still a great challenge for her considering she was snow white, but these creatures were slow. They were easy prey of you had the speed, stopping at the fence Sashi looked around, the animals were grazing peacefully, she almost felt bad about disturbing them but her stomach's growl pushed the thought away.
The wind was blowing a chilling breeze across the field, winter was here she knew it. That was both good and bad for her, it was good because she would be almost invisible to any creature. But the downside was that hunting would be more competitive. Scanning over the field once more Sashi's Carmel eyes caught movement, looking closer she noticed that another wolf had found this place. By the looks of it though they hadn't seemed to real know the animal at hand.
Getting an idea Sashi pulled her head back through the fence, quietly padding along she went further down. She knew that when that fae went to strike the beast would run, if Sashi was down there waiting for the sheep, then she would get one for sure. Sheep after all were very stupid when frightened. She grinned to herself about her timing, thank goodness that this wolf was going to help her without knowledge of it. For Sashi hadn't eaten anything in a long time and survival was everything at the moment. Everything!

The female crept forward slowly. No need to rush, no reason to scar the beasts so soon…
She was so focused in her movements and focused on one sheep in particular. It was farther away from the rest of the herd. Grazing all by it’s self. She didn’t notice the other female enter the grazing grounds. Not that she cared. As long as she didn’t get in her way with her hunt, she wouldn’t try and kill her… that is, if she had noticed her.
Slowly….slowly…. Getting closer…closer… the sheep wasn’t facing her, it had it’s head down stuffing it’s face. Suddenly it turned to start going another direction just as the female…Sliver, started to move. It cried out, and sliver knew it was time to go.
She bolted forward, the sheep ran as fast as it could. As did the others as the loner sounded the alarm. Sliver was on top of the sheep before it got to far. Leaping onto it and biting into it’s throat. Biting down hard trying to break it’s neck.
(writers block...sorry it's not all that good of a post...)

Sashi pressed her body to the cold ground, the grass hid her white form just enough for her to appear as a pile of snow; and to these animals they wouldn't think a thing of it. She watched patiently as the she wolf moved forward inch by inch, she was a skilled hunter by the looks of her movements. Sashi being alone knew a thing or two about hunting and could tell if a hunt was going to go well. She watched the other wolves form and noticed her concentration was unbreakable, she was sure that this would go well, if the she wolf wasn't tired. The sheep that had singled itself out noticed the advancing wolf and took of in a sprint, crying out to the rest of its family to get out of there. This was it the moment she had been waiting for. Getting on the tips of her paws Sashi prepared to pounce on one of the frightened creatures. The stampede stay close together making it harder to pick out just one, but this was the challenging part the exciting chase. With swift paws Sashi leaped out of the tall grass, her nails tore into the flesh of one of the animals. Gravity knocking the two over, jumping up quickly Sashi bit into back of the sheep's neck. Hoping to kill the animal quick she jerked her to the right, cracking the gripped spinal bone. The animal made a last plead as it died quickly, getting off the beast she watched as the others retreated leaving their fallen companions behind. Turing her white head Sashi searched for the other wolf to see if the she wolf was able to bring the animal down. ((It's ok, that happens with me all the time )

Sliver snapped the neck of the struggling sheep. Panting she grinned down at the dead creature.
“finally… food…” She panted. She looked up and scanned the field to make sure she was still alone. When she saw the white wolf, and it was looking right at her! At first she tensed and got ready for attack… but when she saw that the other wolf had taken down another sheep… she slowly started to relax. She gave the other wolf a nod. Before taking the sheep by the throat and started to drag it out of the field toward the forest.
That other wolf maybe had it’s own meal but that didn’t mean that they wouldn’t try to take hers when they were done… so she wasn’t going to stick around to find out.
Sliver crawled under the fence and kept going looking back over her shoulder from time to time.

Sashi watched as the silver wolf nodded and pulled her kill along, she watched as they disappeared under the fence. Sashi was almost sure by the wolf had tensed that she was worried about have her prey taken away for her, Sashi knew she would never do that to another, unless she was starving. She would have dragged her prey of too if she didn't want to disturb the other wolf.
Not wanting to waste anymore time Sashi dug her teeth into the flesh of the sheep, once she got past the thick wool she was able to enjoy her lunch. She looked up from her meal and checked her surroundings, everything seemed clear to her. When she was full Sashi stretched and started a lazy run, she wondered how the other wolf had faired with their meal. Not wanting to be seen Sashi made her way through the forest, she kept quiet and low to the cold covered ground.
((Not really a good post, sorry))

Sliver drug her meal a good ways from the farm land. Once she was sure she was safe… she stopped and waited. Not sure if the other wolf would follow. Her keen yellow eyes scanned the darkening forest around her. When some time had pasted she decided the wolf would let her be, and so started to rip into the flesh of the sheep. The fur gave her some trouble, however when she got around it. The flesh was warm and the blood sweet. She ripped and tore at it eating her fill of it.
After finishing her meal sliver stretched and yawned. She looked around the forest and didn’t notice anything out of place, so she laid down beside what was left of her kill and relaxed for a little bit. Sliver’s plan was to wait till her belly wasn’t so filled, and then gorge herself again on what was left of the carcass then head out again. Who knew who owned this land… she didn’t want to find out.
Her mind then drifted back to the other wolf. That wolf didn’t seem to bad… it didn’t attack her, or try to take her food… if it owned this land maybe she would speak with it later to ask to stay…maybe…. She would go in looking for the wolf later after she ate more.
sorry it took me so long to reply...no computer

Moonshine could smell fresh kill and ran to it. Her ribs were starting to poke out again even though she had a meal only a day ago. She got close to the ground, she was close. The smell of blood made her get closer. "That wolf might kill me if I get to close." She toke a step any way. She went as slow as she could trying not to draw attention. "I am not going to take the food..no I am just going to go where she got hers." Moonshine was known for talking to her self which got her in trouble many times. Her eyes shone brightly though the grass and her black fur was not any good till it was full night time. She jumped over the wolf and ran to the place she came from.

Sashi pranced along the forest, she made sure that her white fur blended with the fresh snow that had fallen. If anything she didn't want the other wolf to think her an intruder, she had no plans to steal anything she didn't see fit to do so. Sashi knew what it was like starving and hunting on your own, and to take another's hard work away from them stood against everything she believed.
As the scent of the other wolf reached her nose, Sashi slowed her pace and grew closer to the smell. She came upon the other fae sleeping next to her half eaten kill. At least Sashi thought she was sleeping by the way she was so relaxed and at peace. She didn't want to disturb that others rest, but she knew that her scent would soon greet the other finely tuned nose. Sashi sat on the cold ground and waited for the other to realize her presence.
The wind blew its harsh breeze over Sashi body, she took in the smell of the wind and soon realized something out of place. She opened her Carmel eyes to the smell of another animal. A wolf like herself no doubt, but it wasn't the scent of the fae next to the kill, no this was the smell of another. Scanning the forest floor Sashi looked for sighs of movement. Everything seemed quite normal, at one moment she had thought she saw something black passing in her line of vision, but blew it off as a trees shadow blowing in the wind. Whatever this fae wanted Sashi wasn't going to take any chances. Yes, she was open minded to all, but she never let her guard down when strangers were around.

Moonshine stopped. "Ummmm." She turned around to face where the wolves were. She let out a howl into the cold air. She slowly walked back, but she had no clue what she would do when she gets there. They didn't chase her so maybe they are nice. She howled again. She could see them now. "Hello...whats your names?" She toke one more step, snow crunching under her paw. "I am Moonshine..." She had no clue what she was doing or getting at.

The sound of a feminine howled, put Sashi on alarm. Had she disturbed in alphess, was she on another females land without permission. Sashi never was up for a fight, but she sure knew had to win one. She thought back to the days when she had watched the old hunters and warriors practicing in her packs fields. She would study every move learning every curve and twist until it would be just right.
When the black fae came into view, Sashi knew then that it was this wolf that she had spotted. Moonshine was the wolfess name, and she seemed friendly enough. Sashi being the polity and respectful type, stood at attention. But made sure to come off relaxed, with a firm voice she introduced herself to Moonshine. My name is Sashi, only daughter of the beta and betaess of the green stone tribe.

Moonshine sat up and bowed her head. "A pack wolf?" She looked her in the eye. The wolf seemed trustworthy to her. Moonshine was a very small wolf who tried to stay out of trouble but it seemed to come to her leaving its mark. Her body was covered in cuts even though she was young. Not many wolves liked a loner around. "I am loner always have been one." She had no pride in what she said and it was very flat.

Sashi smiled at the lone wolf, she new that every time she said her parent rank every wolf assumed she was a pack member. Moving a little closer to the wolf, Sashi sighed at sat down. She looked at moonshine, noting that her black fur clashed with her own snow white fur. She thought about how the two looked like night and day.
I'm sorry to say that I'm not a pack member. I left my pack along time ago. Sashi scanned over the young wolf, she could see the damaging scars and cuts scattered across her night fur. She wondered what had become of this poor wolf, she wasn't sure if this wolf was a trouble maker or not. She seemed nice enough, but still Sashi would watch her.If it's not a bother to you, would you mind telling me what happened to you?

Moonshine looked at her. "I am sorry I just thought..." When she asked what happened it made her skip a beat. "I guess I could." She shook off a little bit of snow and thought for a minute. "My mother was a loner and hated all wolves. She would go around and tear up packs and kill pups." Moonshine stopped and sighed. "My father tried to see the good in her but he was wrong her soul was dark and would never change. When I was a pup my father toke me away from her and raised me till he passed away. He was a pack wolf but left to be with Midnight and he told me I was only good thing that came out of it." She moved uneasily. "Being a young loner your whole life can be hard but most of my scars are from when I was a pup and mother had me help her destroy packs." She looked behide her. "I am sure she is dead by now and I always wished to know what it was like to be in a pack while I was growing up but all I knew was the life of a loner."

Sashi looked at Moonshine as she spoke, she made sure not to make any offensive moves and kept quiet. The young wolfs tail was one of hardship and grief, but she could tell that it wasn't going to prevent her dreams. Sashi had to laugh to herself, in a small way the young one almost reminded her of herself. Back when she was a pup, she looked at the wolf and eased all tension in her body.
I've had my share of packs, I've been into. One I left on my own will. And the other I haven't a clue if I'm still a member there or not.Sashi laughed to herself, she was a member of the black Basin pack, but she didn't know where she stood in that pack at all. She liked it though she could fit in alright, and not everything was pressured on her. Like when she was a lone wolf. If you want to, we can travel together until we get to my home land. I can ask the alphess there if you can stay of you can stay.
