ROLEPLAYING ITSELF.
Roleplaying, or, RPing is very simular to writing, but, there are rather obvious dististions.
First, in RPing you make up a character (personality, appearance, etc), and this character shall take part in whatever plot the site is set on.
For 'Under the Moon', this is a realistic wolf/cat RP. So, your character shall be either feline or canine.
Next, you interact with other users, by posting. Your post should contain basic grammar (spelling, question marks, quiotation marks, etc). You RP in third person, meaning you use pronouns (he, she, or 'name of character'). Certain rules apply to this, such as:
The post must be two lines long.
In the post, you may not godmode.
Godmode is when you take control of another person's character. Some examples would be a nod of the head, or a reaction. The other user shall determine what theire character does, NOT you.
You may use advanced vocabulary, (orbs, limbs, opticals, crimson, ebony, fae, brute), but, please dont' bore us to death, with all of this safisticated grammar.

Other Stuff:
But, before you can even start posting, you must go to the Character Board, and make a thread ( start a topic), about your character. Follow the instrutions, already posted there.
Once an admin (HalfMoon) has locked your thread (making you unable to post on it anymore. It will have a lock over the folder icon). If you are a wolf, you may now decide which pack to join. If you are a cat, you may do whatever you please.
To join a pack, go on a pack's board (Kiei-Tsuki, Shadow River, Black Rain, or Saron), and post that you would like to become a member, or you can send the alpha a private message.
You send a private message, by going to 'Members', on the top toolbar, click on the Alpha's/Alphess' profile, look at the top, near their name, and click the link labeled: Send A Private Message.
Also, if you do not know the organization, and levels of a wolf pack, read the following:
The Alpha (or Alphen)/Alphess (or Alphena), are the Alpha Pair. They are the leaders of your pack. They own the territory, and their word is law. You MAY NOT disrespect the Alpha Pair for they have the right to kick you out of their pack. You may not have puppies unless the Alpha Pair give you permission. The Alphena(Alphess) and Alpha (Alphen) have the same amount of power, the difference is their genders.
The Beta (or male beta)/Betress (or female beta), are the Beta Pair. They are a step lower then the Alpha's in power. They can boss you around, and their word is law, UNLESS the Alpha disagree's. If the Alpha disagree's, you listen to the Alpha, not the beta. The Betress and Beta have the same power, the difference is the gender.
Omegas are the normal members of the pack. They obey the Beta's and Alphas. An omega can be female or male.
An omega can challenge a beta for their rank. In this scenario, you must follow the battling rules. (See Battling, below). A beta can only challenge an Alpha for power.
Alpha’s eat first, when a pack has successfully killed. Next, the betas, and finally, omegas. You are allowed to snap, and snarl at each other at the kill site. An Alpha or Beta can bite you, to show their dominance at the kill site.
If an Alphen or Alphena is killed, the beta or betress shall become the new Alpha. If a beta/Betress is killed, omega’s shall fight for the title, or nominated if the Alpha wants to.
You must always keep your tail lower then the Alphas. If you are an omega, your tail must be lower then both the Alpha and Betas.
YOU MUST OBEY THESE RULES.

Characters/OOC Rules
OOC is Out of Character. Some of these rules would be to respect the admins (Peace Keepers), Creators (Creators), and Global Moderators (Trusted).
Please keep in mind while you're making up your character NOT to make a perfect wolf/cat, that is undefeatable. Everyone has a weakness, and no matter how much you love your character, act normal.
No magic is tolerated, unless it is approved by HalfMoon.
If you do not know anything about wolves here is some basic information:
They hunt in packs. Most likely, out of ten tries to bring down prey (a caribou, moose, elk, or deer), they will be successful three times.
Wolves go for the sickly, old, or young members of the herd (the healthy ones would be too difficult). They normally will chase it, tire it, and then give it a final, fatal bite to the neck. Please understand that the caribou, deer, elk, or moose, have antlers, and shall use them to their advantage. They also WILL and DO kick, so, you please give this dignity.
Rarely, can a wolf have enough skill to bring a deer down, and you must have permission from a global moderator, admin, or creator to do this. Even more, it is on the end of impossible for a wolf to even hope to bring down any prey larger. Occasionally an elk or caribou, but NEVER moose (it’s simply too big). Only an experienced killer, of great magnitude would have the skill to do this. Please keep in mind that a deer is four times, if not six times larger then a wolf. Caribou, elk, and moose, are even larger then deer, and this is why wolves live in packs. They bring down prey, using teamwork.

BATTLING:
Battling can only be over food, mates, or land.
First, NO POWERPLAY. Powerplay is when you make something critical FOR SURE happen (a cut across the throat, a large gash, etc). Minor cuts and bruises do not count. Your opponent should at least have a chance to get out of the way, or not make it so death defying hard, or critical. But, you cannot evade every attack, or you are being unrealistic.
You cannot kill another Rper unless you have permission to do so, by HalfMoon, and the other person. You can kill off one of your own character, ONLY if another one of your characters kills them.
FELINES:
Felines are roamers in this game, and do what they please, in this realistic RPG (RolePlay Game). All Battling Rules apply, although cats tend not to be so territorial, besides a few.
Because there is such a varity of cats, stating them all, and making up rules for everyone, and what not to do would be foolish. Please research your cat, and play accordingly to the species.
If you have any questions or comments, notify me or HalfMoon.
Thank you for reading these tips!
