Wandering for days left Zavi in a haggard state. As she had crossed the mountains in her own lands, unfamiliar territory brought unforeseen challenges to her journey. She never scented a pack, but also found signs of little game. Perhaps the grass wasn't greener on the other side.
Still, the hope of finding a new pack brought her strength. As soon as she found a territory mark her past struggles melted away. The mark was faint, like a new pack. Maybe that was why she never heard of any wolves along her journey. Perfect, she thought despite the smell, I'll have the protection of a family without the power struggles of my father's dignified pack.
The snow crackled against Zavi's paws when she wheeled around, seeing nothing but shallow footprints. They marked the final stretch of her journey and oozed with her own excitement. She realized that her old pack was all she knew, that and the plight of a loner wandering through blizzard-laden mountains. She wondered what this new pack would bring. What wisdom did wolves have in these lands beyond the horizon? As her wolf song announced her presence, she couldn't wait to find out.

Azalea sighed as she walked. She wasn't paying any heed to where she was going, and only knew that she was supposed to be seeking Altar out. She could simply call him, she knew, but she found comfort in being alone on her meaningless wanderings. She couldn't help to wonder if Denser was getting along with Sashi. What was she doing running off when she was meant to be the Alphess.
The winter was welcoming, her fur, shades of silvers, greys and whites fit in with it most of the time. She figured it was about time, she felt so out of place without anyone around she knew. Azalea jumped to alert when she heard another's announcement. She had no idea how the land had stood unclaimed for so long, if so many visited it so often. She smiled anyway, despite the interruption on her thoughts. She had been planning to call Altar anyway, so she wouldn't have stayed alone for long.
Azalea was most relieved the call had not been far. In fact, another few paces in the right direction would've saw the two colliding. She forced herself into a trot in the direction of the call, finding the short distant jog uplifting, if not short-lived. She paused when she came across the fae. She stifled a sigh when she realized again that she was still the younger. 'Hello, newcomer' Azalea said in a friendly manner, putting Denser to the back of her mind, along with the idea of meeting Altar (if not for the moment.[ooc/sorry I only just noticed this here! Sorry if the posts a little off ]
