Denser was glad to notice that didn't ask further for the moment. He was not able to answer such questions anymore, not now. He was afraid of them, afraid that when he was saying it, it would become reality, however it was real anyway. And so he tried to deviate himself with the fae as he had done with Thorn.
She asked him, where they should start exploring. It was no secret that she was young and evidently inexperienced. She had to fear strangers and such who were up to take her land. But on the other hand she was much too trustful. Well, maybe this was his luck. "I don't know this land. Nor its borders", he answered calmly.
He waited a moment, then got aware that she wouldn't trust him anymore. It was not surprising. He didn't trust himself, how could he demand anyone else would?
"But if you want me to precede, I will do this and go where you tell me to", he added. he didn't expect that she could attack him from behind. And even if he was wrong. What could he lose?

[ooc][You like making me use my head don't you?! It really doesn't want to work right now..]
Azalea stared off blankly. She probably should have been thinking about where to go, but that was the last thing on her mind. She considered his words carefully, but she knew they didn't even hint as to whether he was evil and playing some sort of trick, or if he really wasn't evil. Of course he didn't know the land, why would she ask of something that was not going to help. In fact, that was the whole reason she had asked Denser to walk with her in the first place.
'You didn't have to answer that question you know' she said absently 'I'm new at this whole thing'. Azalea had forgotten, if only for the moment, about worrying if he was evil or not. Either way it was still something that she thought an alphess was not supposed to say. But then, she had been raised outside of the security and mannerisms of pack life - she still knew it, some of it, although not so much the mannerisms.
'I'll take you up on that offer' Azalea continued 'But I'm not moving until you decide where to go'. She sat down stubbornly, as if to emphasise the point. She wondered at how silly she was being, but her confidence in her words only withered slightly at the thought.

Denser looked at her carefully. It was not difficult to notice that she was really puzzled. Maybe about him and his strange behaviour. That would not be very astonishing, cause he really behaved very strange and - as he himself thought- foolish. But maybe she was puzzled about this world.
She was not new in this world, she had lived here for a few years, he guessed, too. But there was a difference between the world in its own way. The earth they were standing on. The sky they were looking up and the air they were breathing. It was always there and always the same. Even if there was landscape that looked that difficult that it sometimes looked like a new world. But there was an other world. A world nobody notices. But then, it changes suddenly and even as you don't see it, you know it's completely different from this one you had lived in before.
Azaela herself said, that she was "new in this business" and maybe this was her change of world. Denser knew how she had to feel, a little bit in any case. And so he wanted to help her, wanted to show her that there was still earth under her paws. But how could he when he had lost everything that could bear him?
The black wolf nodded and answered: "So I'd prefer to look for some water first." He was not thirsty at all. But he had to say something and the first thing was the element his brother had loved most; water.

Azalea brightened considerably at Denser's answer. She was relieved that she didn't have to argue further, although she couldn't help but feel a little bad for forcing him to make the decision for her. Mostly, though, she was relieved at his answer; she had seen water nearby on her way through. Not only that she realised a nice drink would be refreshing. She didn't know why she hadn't thought of that.
'Wonderful!' She said, jumping to her paws, ready to be on her way. Azalea hesitated, remembering that Denser had offered to go first. She wondered if that was just to make her feel better about the whole evil thing, or if it was just some kind of trick. But, she had no way of knowing exactly what he was up to, she could only trust that it was that he was good hearted.
'Water is that way' she gestured with her head to her left '.. you said you'd go first?'

Denser waited for the answer, but he didn't have to wait for long. The fae seemed really glad to get a simple answer like that. Not surprising when you have heard the answer before. But the black was tired of playing games. He was no friend of lies and intrigues. It was wrong and made things even more complicated. He was somebody who answered honestly and if there were thing that shouldn't been said, he kept silent. Maybe this was the reason for Azaela to be puzzled about his answer. Because he had not told everything.
As she asked him for going first he nodded. He had said he would do this and he had no problems in doing it. Why should he? Well, she could attack him, sure. And when she exploited the situation, she could kill him maybe. But he didn't care. It was not a thing of trust. He didn't know her and even as he didn't think she was evil herself, he did not care.
So he went on to his right. He walked simply in this direction without knowing where he wanted to go. But this was nothing knew. Not anymore.

Azalea followed quickly after him. She didn't expect him to know where he was going, but she couldn't help a slight giggle at his lack of direction. It wasn't that she was picking fun at Denser, in fact, she was more picking fun at the whole situation. She shrugged off the giggling, it wasn't supposed to be a game, it was supposed to be grave. He had said he was evil, she wasn't supposed to be amused. Besides, she was the one giving directions, it was only her fault if he didn't have any idea of where he was going.
'Okay' she announced, more to get herself thinking 'Well, it's not hard to find, but if I remember correctly then you can go straight for a while.' Azalea figured he needed at least some idea of where he was going. She figured she would be able to tell when the time came to change the route. If not, she could always follow her own scent, or Denser could. She hadn't wondered too far, she had skirted the land for a while, at least until she was sure it was empty.
'I don't think you're evil' she accused, a rather random subject, but it had been the reason of taking a walk in to begin with. She didn't know why she hadn't questioned Altar's motives, he could probably just as easily be untrustworthy.

As Azaela said something about the direction, Denser just nodded and went on. He didn't really care about where he was going. Only the fact that he was walking, doing one step after the other was, what he wanted. It was easier to do something he could do without doubt. And most of this world seemed not to satisfy this criterias.
The fae suddenly commented she didn't think he was evil. It was obvious that she didn't think he was evil. Otherwise she would not have diceded to let him come with her, would she? But on the other hand it was not senseless to say this. And -as far as he could think- it was important, too.
"Why do you think that?", he answered calmly without turning his head.
Their way went on and nothing seemed up to interrupt this little conversation. The black was not sure wether to be glad about this or not.

Azalea walked in silence for a time, waiting politely for an explanation. She didn’t have to wait long, and even so, watching as the landscape passed by was entertaining enough. She could remember a time, walking with her mother and sister, where quietly observing the land was boring; she would instead yell and scream with her sister, taking turns chasing each other around. It seemed more entertaining, even now. But, surveying the land would suffice.
She silently mulled over her answer. Azalea wanted to get it just right. She knew why and at the same time she didn’t know. And further, she had no idea how to explain it. It was probably more complicated then it needed to be, but it didn’t change the fact that she wanted to say it right. ‘Well’ She announced after a time, hesitating slightly before she continued ‘Even though you said you’re evil, you don’t look very evil’.
Azalea paused, letting the sentence sink into the silence. She wasn’t sure how to continue, but she might have a bit more of an idea after she really listened to herself. It would avoid mistakes, and making her look like a fool who had no idea about what she was saying. She felt she knew exactly what she was saying. ‘Maybe you just think you are?’ she offered, hoping it was explanation enough for her opinion on the matter.

Denser would have smiled, if he had been up to be in a good mood. He was nobody who used to smile all day long. He was a really serious and maybe even stern wolf and a smile of spite was like an attack into somebody from behind. He was nobody who liked to tell things or even teach. But he was able to make others think.
"How do evil wolves look then for you, if you think I don't look evil?", he asked calmly. He didn't care about her hesitating. She was young and even old wolves had to asked twice sometimes. We are allowed to make mistakes, that's why we are here.
And as she went on, he had to think himself about an answer. Maybe he just thought, he was evil? Did it matter, what he thought? Weren't there a lot of wolves who thought they were not evil, who even thought they were good but they weren't? Who decided, who was evil or not? "Well", he answered. "Maybe you are right. But then, where is the difference if I just think I am, or I actually am?"

Azalea didn't have to think for an answer, to his first question anyway. There was a very obvious stereotype for evil wolves, and even though it usually started with black fur, there was no doubt in her mind that evil wolves must look a certain way. For another fact, evil wasn't shy or ashamed about being evil; that would show morals and a soul.
'Evil wolves look... well, mean I suppose' she started 'They have this kind of evil look in their eyes.' She had never really met anyone evil, but her brother had had a similar look. Her mum had always said that it was from his father. That was all she said about Azalea's father. Even so, they could do nothing about her brother; but he had disappeared, so it didn't really matter what they could do any more. It was for the best, she supposed.
Azalea didn't know how to answer the second question. She had had little time to think on it, and even so she doubted it would have any effect. What was the difference between thinking you were evil and not thinking you were evil. Even evil sometimes justified what they were doing by some means; purifying the world or something religious. Though, no one put that stereotype to evil; there was bloodthirsty evil, there was even evil who loved pain, but never evil trying to make the world perfect in their mind.
Even so, Azalea knew it was a type of evil. Still, she didn't think Denser any type of evil. Maybe she was just being too trusting. 'Well, do you want to kill anyone for any reason?' She asked bluntly. She had no answer for his question, so she figured it just best to silently mull over the depth and complexion of the mind.

Denser knew what she wanted to say, although he knew that she was wrong, as well. Evil wolves didn't have to look evil all the time. The most evil ones where those who just looked evil in the moment they were, in the moment you get that they were evil.
But she was really naive by thinking you can see somebody is evil in his eyes. It was no negative way of being naive, it was the innocent, lovely way. This one that had not be confronted with really evil wolves before. Or had not been touched by the evil of others.
But her next question made him fell silent immediately. All his thoughts were like blown away. Did he want to kill anyone? Had he wanted to kill his brother? No, he hadn't. He hadn't, but he hadn't done anything to help him. So was this not the same? 'I did kill somebody', was everything he could answer.
He didn't look behind, didn't see how the younger wolf would react. And he didn't care. Maybe Azaela would be afraid of him. Who would not be afraid of him? He was. But he couldn't do anything against. He had to care his fault. To deny it would mean to kill his brother again.

Sashi kept her nose in the air as she investigated the new area. She knew from experience that passing through marked territory was dangerous, especially if you didn't have permission from the alpha. The Autumn leaves crunched under her paws, the smell of moisture met her pink nose. Breaking into a slow paced trot she followed the smell, moisture usual meant water; meaning their was a river, or pond up ahead.
It wasn't long before Sashi came to an opening in the trees, stopping at the edge she peered out to find the source of the smell. Licking her dry lips, she scanned the forest floor searching for any signs of life. When none made their presents she stepped out into the opening cautiously, walking over to the river she bent her head for a drink of the cool water. The liquid felt nice on her dry throat, lifting her head Sashi smelt the air around her. It smelled of water and mud, but she caught of whiff of something else. Turning her elegant head toward the smell her Carmel eyes grew wide, the smell of wolves. She couldn't afford to be seen, she didn't have the energy to fight now. Turning her body she scampered over to the brush to hide, just because she didn't want to be seen, didn't mean she wasn't curious of who these wolves were.

Azalea stopped as soon as she heard the answer, letting Denser get a few more steps ahead of her. She thought that was an excellent thing, considering what he had just told her. She hesitantly started the pace again, slower and much less enthusiastically. They were nearing the water they were seeking, she could catch a hint of the damp scent.
She was telling herself not to assume what he had meant by the broad statement. Azalea could think of many possible explanations, but she would have rather pretended she had misheard him. As tempting as it was, it wouldn't really change the fact. If he was evil, and he had killed out of malice, what would stop him from doing it again? It would be better to know if he was to kill again. Better sooner then later.
She spied the waters edge coming into view, and even if Denser had not smelt water it would be clear enough where it was now. Azalea didn't think he needed further direction, so kept on the subject instead. It would be the last chance she would get before reaching the destination; it could be safely assumed that the subject would move on to water, in the least.
'Well actually' she found her voice quite and lacking in confidence 'I asked if you wanted to kill someone..' Perhaps he had been evil once and repented? That would be alright, repenting was good after all - just not if you found it a means of justification. Besides, he had said somebody, that was one being. 'Would you kill me?' she asked as offhandedly as she could manage.

Denser didn't notice the water he neared. There were much more present things in his mind, now. This fae asked him a lot of questions and no one was important to him. Really important. Of course, they were interesting for her, maybe even indispensable for life.
But there were only a few thoughts in his mind. Most of them were memories, pictures from what he had done. He could see his younger brother, could see him smiling, walking beside him, talking. And he could hear him crying, howling the pain that has been done to him. Densers heart pulsed like the stamping of a flock of sheep.
Because of this, he didn't nptice the foreign fae either, although her beautiful white fur was no cloak of invisibility except between snow and ice. But even Azaelas next question nearly wasn't able to permeate his thoughts.
Suddenly he hesitated in everything he had done before. He stood still, looked at the water which was suddenly before him and saw his own picture in the mirror of water. His icy blue eyes looked at him, dark and hostile. His black coat seemed to be nothing more than a dark shadow of past and hate. He didn't need to think of an answer, so he even casually answered: "No, I would not."
He went on staring at his reflection. The wolf he could see was strange. A well known stranger. Nothing else than a hateable creature. A traitor.

Sashi only had to wait a moment, before the mysterious wolves made their presents known. The first to come into sight was a male, his radiant black coat as dark as the night sky; while his eyes were an icy blue. He was one of the tallest wolves Sashi had ever laid eyes on, and the sadist. She could tell by the way he moved and kept his head low, that he knew the meaning of pain and suffering. He seemed to lost in thought to even notice her, and she knew that finding her wasn't a brutalizeing task. The only time Sashi would blend in was during the winter; not the most colorful season of Autumn.
The second wolf was noticeably smaller then the first, her silver coat bounced as she walked behind the male. Sashi noticed a look of fear on the females face, as if she had just been attacked or was yelled at. Her green eyes seemed to be contemplating something. When she spoke she asked a rather odd question. Would he kill her seemed strange for a lower ranked wolf to be asking. This made Sashi wonder who the alpha was?
She watched patiently as the black wolf hesitated, before replying a low and distant no. His icy blue eyes fixed on his own reflection in the water. The two seemed an odd pair, but seemingly calm. Maybe they wouldn't mind her intrusion on the land, but still being careful was the best root. Sashi shifted ever so sightly, trying not to make any noise as she decided to watch a little longer before making her presence known.
